Rambling Rector

A monthly note from our previous Rector, Fr Stanley Monkhouse in which he addressed current topics related to our community and our faith.

Since moving to Eire, Stanley has continued to produce "Rambling Rector", primarily for his new Parish, but which he is also happy to share with his Parishes of Barlow, Old Brampton and Loundsley Green.

On 28 August Stanley is to be instituted as Rector of the Portlaoise Group (Portlaoise, The Rock and Ballyfin, known in Crockford's as Maryborough with Dysert Enos and Ballyfin) in the Diocese of Leighlin of the Church of Ireland.

Stanley’s statistics

Between May 2008 and August 2011, he baptised 141 people, married 70 couples, and officiated at the funerals of 142 people.
